I love this hand drill. I use it regularly to drill 1/8" holes for screws in 1"x 2" pine boards for indoor window insert frames. Mentions in previous reviews about the drill bit holders not lining up may be due to machine tool casting. The head that pushes up the bit holders on my purchase had some lingering bits of metal. It took me a few minutes to file them away and smooth the surface with 100 grit sandpaper. Now it works well enough to hold a bit straight. I expected small imperfections like this from a metal casting for a tool. Considering the price paid, the little bit of effort I made still makes this a great bargain for a person who works with tools regularly. For someone who does not know tools well, this drill may cause some difficulty. But the more significant issue here is that when you wake up in the middle of the night, and you just have to pre-drill holes for screws, you can do so without waking up everyone in the house. And isn't that a nice thing to do?
